Billy Joinville

I'm a software engineer and a recent computer science graduate from the University of Miami. This past summer I interned on Spotify's mobile team in New York. The rest of my time goes to WebEaze, a small studio I started that builds websites for local businesses.

I like working across the whole stack, from the interface down to the scripts that keep things running. I'm looking for a full-time engineering role for 2026.

I started WebEaze in 2024 as a subscription web studio for small businesses. So far I've built and shipped more than 40 responsive sites in React, plus the analytics, SEO, and small automation scripts that handle client onboarding behind the scenes.

Summer 2025 · New York

I spent the summer on Spotify's mobile team working on the Messages feature. Most of my work was in the backend services (Java, Python, and Scala) running on Google Cloud and Kubernetes, shipped through the usual cycle of code reviews and iteration.

Two summers in the IT department of an elevator company. I wrote Python and JavaScript scripts that cut help desk response times by about a third, and built a few Power BI dashboards on top of Microsoft Dynamics so leadership could see what was going on.

I got into this because I like making things people actually use.

I'm finishing a computer science degree at the University of Miami, with minors in communication studies and sustainable business. Outside of class I've been building websites, tutoring students in Python and Java, and interning wherever I could, from a small IT department in Maryland to Spotify in New York.

I work best when I own a problem end to end: figuring out what someone actually needs, building it, and sticking around to fix what breaks. When I'm not at a computer I'm usually running. I'm president of the club running team here.
